BJJ Calories Burned Calculator

Estimate the calories burned in a training session from your body weight, session length, session type, intensity and whether you trained gi or no-gi. Shows a realistic range rather than a single false-precision number, and explains the MET values behind every figure.

In development

These are planned, not built. There are no pages for them yet, deliberately, because an empty page helps nobody. This list is here so you know what is coming.

  • BJJ Training Volume and Recovery Planner. How many sessions a week you can actually absorb, based on age, sleep, current soreness and whether you are managing something that already hurts.
  • BJJ Weight Cut Calculator. A realistic timeline for making a division without wrecking your competition day.
  • BJJ Macro Calculator. Protein, carbs and fat targets built around your training week rather than a generic activity multiplier.
  • BJJ Competition Preparation Calculator. Counting back from a tournament date to a taper, a sharpening block and a load peak.

How these tools are built

Every calculator here runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, stored, or attached to your email address. Each one publishes the formula and the source of its numbers on the page, so you can check the arithmetic instead of trusting it.

They are estimates and they are educational. None of them are medical, nutrition or weight loss advice, and none should be used to manage a health condition or plan a weight cut without talking to a professional.

Want the training guides instead?

The tools are a small part of the site. If you are looking for the written material, start with BJJ after 40, the full guide to training as an older grappler, or the recovery hub if the problem is that you are showing up to Wednesday still sore from Monday.
